DIBS was formed a in 2002 by Don Sparks. Don earned accreditations as a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). Don has 35 years of healthcare, employee benefits and consulting experience. Previously Don was an instructor at Portland State University, CLU Studies.
Managing partner, Jeana Hutchings, joined the firm in 2003. She is a licensed benefit consultant and registered nurse with 20 years of healthcare/insurance carrier experience (13 of those years in the insurance industry). She brings innovative new ideas to challenge the current state of healthcare. She also specializes in compliance, wellness initiatives, member education and communication which are an integral part of creating an empowered employee.

Sean Oliver, Vice President, Senior Underwriter joined the Diversified team after spending four years as a Senior Underwriter at SelectHealth where he helped develop their underwriting process. He also served four years as a Benefit Consultant with Towers Perrin. Sean uses his carrier experience to track utilization, claim trends, and most importantly, to analyze and present significant data pertaining to the client’s benefit package.
